I am back at my usual spot in Bangkok. I took a pretty last-minute trip to Bangkok back in July and came back for a 2-night stay. The Conrad is one of the better properties over here. There are numerous premium luxury properties in Bangkok, with the footprint of most chains over here. Even for Hilton, there is a wide range of properties over here. The Conrad is one of the most premium ones and ranks just below the Waldorf Astoria. The Conrad does benefit from having an executive lounge. If that is your required amenity, the Conrad is the one to go for. I will not dwell too much on this, as I have covered this property multiple times previously. This time around, I would just like to share the Executive Room since it has recently been renovated, keeping in line with their premium and grand premium rooms. You can refer to my old post here. I have also reviewed their suite previously.
Booking Process & Pre Arrival
I booked the guest room and we will be staying here for 2 nights. I will be staying here for 3 nights! The rate is outstanding since AMEX is running a credit promotion, and I got another 20% off. I was upgraded to an executive room a couple of days before my stay. I also understand from the team that these are newly renovated. This would have cost around 8000 THB a night. Suites upgrades are not easy over here. To recap, Conrad Bangkok features 391 guest rooms and suites spread across 10 categories. You can find the breakdown below.

Checking In
I landed at around 2.30pm. There was quite a wait for immigration before I finally got to the grab pick-up point. I got a ride for around 300 THB, and it took about 40 minutes for me to reach the hotel. I got to the hotel at around 4pm or so. Upon arrival, the bellboy came over to help me with my bags and also to usher me over to check in. I asked to check in at the executive lounge, and he ushered me straight up to the 29th floor. The experience is much better here if you have access. Seeing how afternoon tea was ending, I was invited to take a seat and partake in it while the staff completed my check-in process. All my details were reconfirmed, and then she also proactively extended the late checkout till 2 pm. They also invited me to use the lounge after check-out. It’s always so pleasant to be enjoying afternoon tea while processing your check-in.
Executive Room
I was assigned an executive room located on the 27th floor. I got room 2712, which is just a short walk away from the elevators. The room is facing the same direction as the executive lounge. This is a premium room type here. Although at a higher tier, the Grand Premium room is bigger than this. The room measures a lovely 41 square metres.
This is very suitable for small families and couples. Straight up upon entering, you have an entrance way with the wardrobe found to the right, as well as the luggage storage area. The luggage storage area can fit a mid-size suitcase well, and in the wardrobe, you can find it stocked with everything that you might need for your stay. There are bathrobes, bath slippers, hangers, a safe and laundry bags. There’s also an ironing kit available for your stay.
On the other side of the entrance way, you have the bathroom. It is a lovely spot, and it comes with a single sink. There is plenty of platform space, and it is well stocked with everything that you might require from your stay, from mouthwash to a full set of amenities. The toiletries are from Byredo in large pump bottles. This is the usual one in Conrad properties. They are lovely to use and I love their scent.
The bathroom comes with a bidet toilet and a separate freestanding bathtub. I love that the standing shower comes with both a handheld shower head and a rainforest one. The water pressure and temperature control are excellent. The bathroom comes with a glass wall that allows you to take in the view of the room and the outside view. Privacy screens are available for those who require more privacy.
Moving back to the main space of the room. In the corner, you can find the minibar set up. It is well stocked with a proper espresso coffee machine, a kettle and drinking water. There are also packaged teas. Below, the mini fridge is also fully stocked.
The main space of the room is in a rectangular configuration. The platform stretches, which allows you to have more storage. Mounted on the wall is a large, high-quality smart screen television that comes with a good number of both local and International cable TV channels.
The highlight of the room is the plush king-size bed. It is so comfortable. The mattress here is high quality with great bedding. There is also a selection of pillows that you can use to customise your sleeping experience. I got one of those memory foam pillows and slept so well. Nightstands flanked both sides of the bed. They come with controls for the lighting, blinds, and power outlets. Everything is electronically controlled and top-notch in this aspect. The signature Conrad soft toy is left on the bed.
In the corner of the room, you can also find a working desk area. The circular desk works well for dining and work. Power outlets and all sorts of plugs are located within reach. You will also appreciate that it comes with a Herman Miller ergonomic chair, which offers excellent back support. Fantastic!
On the other side, you can also find a sitting corner with a couch and an armchair. This will fit about three people. It is nice to have a separate sitting area in the room. This is a bonus. Left on the table is also a fruit basket and some welcome amenities. It consists of some artisan mineral water and chips.
The room comes with a pretty spectacular unblocked view over the surrounding area, given how high up we are. Turn-down service is automatically offered in the evening, with the room tidied and refreshed for resting.
Conclusion
This is a solid property with a really lovely executive lounge! I am glad to see that more and more rooms here are renovated. It is also in a very central location that works well. It is a short walk from the BTS station, and the shuttle bus works well too. The pricing offers a great value, especially when compared with the Waldorf. This is one of the better ones in Thailand and definitely in Bangkok. It is especially true for Hilton elites. I always love to be back here and have a great time. I can’t wait for the other Conrad to open next year!
