The last Citi Prestige Priority Pass Run!

I’ve always wanted to check out this place and review it. I simply couldn’t find the time to do so since I am always so packed during my time at the airport with the other lounge and restaurant options. I am glad to squeeze in one visit right before Citi Prestige devalues my unlimited Priority Pass. This is one of the options in Terminal 2 for contract lounges. The other is the Ambassador Transit Lounge. I don’t visit T2 options very often. Furthermore, most of the time, I am in restaurants these days. Do check out my review of WolfgangTerrace Restaurant and Asian Street Kitchen. There is a whole network of bars, restaurants, hotels, spas and even caviar stores. Anything can be available to members. It depends on the location. Do constantly check to see if there is anything new. I certainly love this concept especially when I have an unlimited Priority Pass card. I always love seeing what is around the airport that I am flying out of. It can be very valuable if you have multiple outlets that work on a credit system. I have visited a number of these both abroad and in Singapore. Check out my collection of Priority Pass options in Singapore here.

Access Requirements

SATS Lounge Terminal 2 is open 24 hours a day. You can access this lounge via a lounge program membership like Priority Pass. I have an unlimited Priority Pass through my UOB Reserve Card or my Citi Prestige Credit Card which provides me with 12 yearly visits. I access the lounge primarily using these two cards. A standard entrance will cost 35USD. Typical guest entitlements follow.

Arrival & Location

The lounge is located one level above the main terminal floor. It is quite easy to spot it. You can then access it via the stairs or the elevators in the central area. The lounge is right opposite the DBS lounge and the KrisFlyer Gold lounge. I was warmly welcomed after showing the invitation card and my boarding pass. They have both a first-class and a business class section. It appears as if the first class section is closed. We headed right towards the business class section.

SATS Premier Lounge Terminal 2

The main lounging area is in one big space with typical lounge couches. They are arranged in groups. There are also some sittings by the side of the window. Wi-Fi is readily available over here and there are also power outlets within reach. In the corner, you can also find some massage chairs. Some of the seating areas are cordon off, this is probably to secure seating areas for airline passengers that they have partnership with. At the side, there are also some cubicles seatings that are suitable for solo travellers. Here are some pictures of the place.

Toilets and Showers

The lounge comes with its toilets and showers. The toilets are unmemorable and can be better maintained by the staff. The ones in the terminal are probably even nicer. Changi Airport sure gives lounges a run for their money. They also have showers inside the bathroom for guests ‘ use. They have a total of 3 inside. It doesn’t look too welcoming and nice but it does get the work done. Given that Ambassador and this are the only options available in T2, these are your only options.

Food and Drinks

The food and drinks are pretty good. This is always a strong point for SATS. They are all located towards the refreshment area. They were doing breakfast service when I was here. You can find some pictures of the food here. Their signature Laksa is always available.

Despite it being early, you have a full set of alcohol too with spirits, beers, red wine, white wine and sparkling wine. There are also some juices, canned drinks, coffee and tea. Pretty good on this aspect.

Conclusion

A pretty standard contract lounge with the SATS identity. They are pretty decent as far as contract lounges go. Please note that the lounge may be crowded at times, and you may not be able to enter with Priority Pass or other lounge programs. They have a lot of airline partnerships and these often take up their capacity. More or less, there will be a sign to show this warning. Just try your luck and you might still get entrance. It is great to pop by for some refreshment and to wait for your flight. For those who were a massage or a shower, it comes in handy too.
