It is so impressive on the number of Oneworld Lounges that we have over here in Singapore! We can literally be a regional hub for them! All in all, we have a total of 4 business class lounges and 1 first class lounges over here. You are really full of options. This is one of the main business class lounge in Terminal 1 and the largest one. Singapore is a regional hub for Qantas and see plenty of traffic. With the stringent rules and limited time for Qatar, this and BA is the next best offer. I also recently reviewed the Qantas First Lounge. I have always been a huge fan of Qantas lounge since I visited the Hong Kong one a couple of years ago. I am excited to see how the Singapore one is!

Access Requirements
The Qantas International Business Lounge Singapore is open from 2.45pm to 1am on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. On Tuesday and Sunday they are also open in the morning from 7.50am to 10am. On Thursday they are open through out from 7.50am to 1am. You get access if you are flying in the Oneworld premium cabin or connecting from international Business / First Class, even if the domestic leg is in Economy. Oneworld elite status and Qantas Club holders are also allowed access. Standard guesting rules apply. While Qantas top tier members usually get access to their lounges when flying on Jetstar, this is not that feasible now that the flights are out of T4.
Arrival & Location
The lounge is located one level above the main terminal. It is in the same area as the SATS Lounge and BA Lounge. The location is different from the first class lounge. This setup is rather unique as usually airlines will open them side by side. You can find signs leading towards to the lounge easily. Do note that the entrance is slightly hidden as it is in the corner. I was here right when it open and one of the first guest to arrive. Upon arrival, I was invited in by the professional staff who allowed access after scanning my boarding pass. This allows me to get really good pictures of the lounge.

Qantas International Business Lounge Singapore
I was impressed by the sheer space of the lounge once I entered the facility. I wasn’t expecting it to be this huge. In fact, it is even bigger than SilverKris Lounge itself. The lounge have a capacity for 400 pax and even this it gets crowded during the peak period. There are multiple seating areas in the lounge. The place is filled up with classy lounge couches in groups. Some of them faces the inner terminal. Power outlets and wifi is readily available. You can find some pictures of the lounge here.

Heading to the inner part of the lounge, you can find the dining area. This area is filled up with dining tables that are more conducive for dining. The tables are both located along the wall and in the middle. There are also large communal tables.

The shower are located after the dining area. There is an attendant on hand to assign shower suites and provide you with any additional amenities. The shower suites are well maintained. They have a total of 20 shower suites which will come in handy for the huge crowd during peak period. The suites are spacious and clean. All sorts of amenities are provided. It comes with a hand held shower head. Water pressure is good. I did not like it that they are providing these wall mounted hair dryer.

Food & Drinks
There is a huge array of food and drinks station. The dining area is located towards the inner part of the lounge. First up, you have some cold items like pre made salad. Everything looks so good and fresh. You can find the menu for the day of my visit.

Right beside it is the desserts. The chocolate crunch is very good.

Hot food items consists of some Pork Goulash, Jasmine Rice, Eggplant Parmigiana, Herbed Potatoes. There is also Potato and Leek Soup.

There are also items that you can order from the live station. The menu changes from time to time. I got both the Chicken Laksa and Pasta with Meatball to try. Both of them are excellent and hearty. The chicken laksa was surprisingly good.

Throughout the dining area, you can also find self served drinks options consisting of wines and soft drinks.

The main bulk of the drinks options will be from the manned bar. This is also where you can get barista made coffee drinks. You can find the menu for the bar over here. The drinks are excellent. I had a couple of flat white during my stay. Unlimited Little Creatures is amazing too.

Conclusion
It goes without saying that Qatar gets the award for being the best business class lounge here but the rules are slightly less stringent for Qantas. The food and drinks selection are still very good. They also stand out with the barista made coffee and cocktails by the bar. They do not have Champagne but with the BA lounge just next door, you can just hop around for both great coffee and champagne. The lounge is very spacious and there are plenty of space for guests. It does feel slightly tired and could do with a renovation in the next five years.
