I wasn’t expecting to visit this lounge but a slight flight delay brings me into the Air France – KLM SkyLounge. There are more than 14 lounges in this airport and you will never have time to visit them all. Before this, I managed to visit both the Coral Finest Business Class Lounge as well as the Turkish Airlines Lounge. I frequently heard that the Oman Air Lounge is the best. Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is huge and depending on which gate you are at, some lounges might not be that convenient for you to visit. Here we go, the journey to splurge on my unlimited Priority Pass Card. I was in and out in 15 minutes.
Access Requirements
The Air France – KLM SkyLounge is open from 6.3am to 1.30am daily and available to Priority Pass members. During periods of high occupancy like 8am to 11am, access may be restricted. I use my unlimited Priority Pass from Citi Prestige. You should be able to enter using Lounge Key as well or other contract lounge membership as well.
Arrival & Location
The lounge is located near gate F2. You can find it near the F gates towards the right of the terminal. It is on the same floor as the gates. This is my first time visiting this lounge. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the staff and ushered in after presenting my Priority Pass card. It is very quiet at the time of my visit in the afternoon. There was barely anyone else in the lounge. I was just in for a brief 15 minutes to use the washrooms.
Air France – KLM SkyLounge Suvarnabhumi Bangkok International Airport
The lounge is of a good size and looks pretty standard in typical Air France KLM SkyLounge decor. I do love the view of the tarmac from the lounge and the interior is rather quaint. It is made more private with the use of partition. Here are some pictures of the lounge.
Nearer to the refreshment area you can find some dining tables in booths that are suitable for dining. The dining area is located to the right of the lounge. Here are some pictures of the lounge.
Toilets and Showers
The lounge has their own toilets and showers which is a nice touch. They are well-maintained and clean.
Food and Drinks
The food and drinks were pretty good! I am rather impressed. There is a good selection of items. I love the macrons! So lovely to have something French here. I enjoyed a couple of them over a glass of French Bordeaux which was pretty drinkable. You can also come to a couple of hot dishes, sushi and snacks. Here are some pictures of the buffet.
These macarons were addictive.
Drinks options consist of some self-served alcohol and soft drinks.
Conclusion
This is a great option if you are flying out from the F Concourse. For a contract lounge, the food offerings are pretty good. I enjoyed the macarons and the wine. I would have loved to spend more time here. This is one of the better Air France KLM SkyLounge I visited. Try it out and let me know what you think. That completes my lounge journey in BKK. Looking forward to the next opportunity to check out the other PP lounges.
