I can’t wait to check out this lounge! I have heard too much about it. It is frequently said as the best business-class lounge in Singapore Changi Airport. Some have even raved that this is the best lounge here, beating the likes of SQ SilverKris Lounge and The Private Room. This can be said as the highlight of my trip and the one lounge that I am most looking forward to visiting at Changi Airport. The main selling point of this lounge would be the ala carte dining which is seldomly seen in the realm of business class lounge. Furthermore, for it to stand out among the huge number of Oneworld lounges in Changi, there must be something really special. This is the one lounge to visit when you are flying in qualified Oneworld business class. If you are in first class or have Emerald status, the Qantas First Lounge is preferred. Let’s see if they are worth the reputation!

Access Requirements
The Qatar Singapore Premium Lounge is open daily from 7.45am to 10.45am and 6pm to 2.30am. You get access if you are flying in the Oneworld premium cabin or connecting from international Business / First Class, even if the domestic leg is in Economy. Sadly, Qatar Airways does not grant lounge access to passengers who have upgraded from Economy to Business Class and passengers on Business Class Lite Fares. Oneworld elite status holders are also denied access and are invited to the SATS Premier Lounge. You should visit the other Oneworld lounges in Changi instead.
Arrival & Location
The Qatar Airways Singapore Premium Lounge is located one level above the departure area in 3 of Changi Terminal 1’s transit area, and one level above the departure concourse. It is in the C gates area. You can find the lounge more easily after heading up the escalator. The lounge is located together with the Emirates Lounge and Plaza Premium Lounge in the same area. I was right here on the dot at 6pm when they opened. The Qatar Lounge shows its calibre from the moment I entered the lounge. This feels more like first class rather than business class.

I was warmly greeted by the lounge attendant when I entered. They then proceeded to help me lock up my bags in the lockers by the entrance. They have a coat room where guests can store their personal belongings during their stay. This is very handy.

Another staff then took over and ushered me into the lounge. Upon hearing that it was my first time here, I was given an introduction to the various areas of the lounge. I had never experienced this level of personalised service in a business-class lounge.
Qatar Airways Singapore Premier Lounge
Upon entering the lounge you can find some displays and couches arranged neatly. The place feels more like a luxury showroom and comes with a residential vibe. It felt very posh and comfortable.

Along the wall, they had these solo cubicle seatings which felt very private. These are perfect for solo travellers. It comes with a plush armchair and a side table. Power outlets are nicely installed and this is great for both dining or getting some work done.

Heading in, you can find the dining area which makes up the bulk of the lounge space. The dining area is designed around the gorgeous circular lounge. This is the centrepiece. It is a great place to grab some drinks and to socialise. Service is great here and the staff are pleased to offer drinks.

There are plenty of dining tables in this area with a capacity for around 40 pax. As time past, the lounge did gets more and more busy.

You can find more lounge seating after the dining area. There are wifi charging pads around the area.

The toilets and showers are located towards the end of the lounge. This is very well decorated and nice. Toilets are located in individual rooms and are very nicely stocked with Diptyque amenities.

There are only two shower cubicles. They are located on the smaller side. Do expect to wait if you need one during the peak period. The showers are rather nice and similarly stocked with Diptyque toiletries. The spacious standing shower comes with both a rainforest shower head and a handheld one.

Food & Drinks
This is the most impressive aspect of the lounge and the one that wow me the most. Can you imagine having ala carte dining with full table service in a business class lounge? While it is not unheard of, it is also on the rare side. You can find the menu for the lounge over here. Do note that they have since changed the menu since my visit. Some of the items that I had still exist. The staff very polished escorted me towards a table upon knowing that I would like to have dinner. Do note that not all of the tables come with access to a power plug. Besides the dishes that you can order from the menu. You can also find a small buffet lineup to supplement it. This is great for passengers who are in a rush. You can find some pictures of the buffet here. You can find fruits, cheese, salad and bread.

While you can enjoy the drinks by the gorgeous circular bar, the staff will serve the drinks to every seat and dining table in the lounge. You can find the drinks menu above. They also serve Taittinger Brut and Taittinger Rose champagne. I tried some of their cocktails during my stay. The Singapore Sling and Singapore Delight were amazing.

Moving on to the ala carte dishes. Throughout my stay, I tried the Chicken Lemongrass and Coconut Soup

Mushroom Soup

Chicken Satay & Prawn Tempura

Beef Tenderloin Steak

Seafood Pad Thai

Conclusion
While I can’t speak for Qatar’s onboard products since I did not get a chance to try them out, the lounges are spectacular! The Qatar Singapore Lounge certainly gives me a first-class experience for a business-class product. This is the best business class lounge in Singapore Changi Airport. I am very impressed by this level of service and the quality of the meals. Ala carte dining with full table service for a business class lounge is a rarity. I can only compare this with Polaris Lounge and the Qatar Lounge triumphs. I can’t wait to visit the flagship lounges in Doha and try out Q Suites too! If you are flying onboard an Oneworld Business Class flight, do not miss visiting this lounge!
