I always make it an aim to try to have a Michelin meal whenever I am in France or Paris in particular. If you did not know, Tokyo is the city with the most Michelin stars, and Paris is the second! Having a good fine dining experience is integral to your Parisian experience. Previously, I dined at the Astrance. There are a lot of other joints that I wanted to try over here in Paris. We were celebrating a special occasion, and I also wanted to find a spot with a view of the Eiffel! Cliché but always dreamy! That brought me to L’Oiseau Blanc! It is located on the Peninsula roof with a homage to the French Levasseur PL.8 biplane that disappeared in 1927 during an attempt to make the first non-stop transatlantic flight between Paris and New York City. When it comes to Michelin meals, I prefer lunch since the meals are smaller and also much lighter on your wallet. This is especially true if you are heading to a place with a view. I also can’t do those 10-course, 3-hour meals every time. Let’s check out this 2-star establishment.

Reservations are recommended, as with any Michelin joint! It is not too difficult here that you will have to aim and mark your calendar. You can easily make it on their website. The restaurant is open daily from 12pm to 2pm for lunch and 7pm to 10pm for dinner.

Conclusion

Go for a view of the Eiffel rather than on the Eiffel. There is nothing special about dining at the Eiffel with a view of? Yup! That is always my thinking. It was a mind-blowing meal. The service was excellent, and the dishes were flawless. I was actually really amazed by the scallop dish and the dessert! That was impressive. We also got some wines, and while the meal is expensive, it is one of the best I had. It was money well spent. I will have no qualms recommending this if you need a special spot in Paris. The vibe and the view are excellent. I also love the story and the background of the flight. Check it out!
