We travelled throughout Italy during our time in Europe. We started in the North and ended in the South. We had some extra time while in Milan and decided to take a day trip out. There are a plethora of options given how central Milan is. I was considering Como, Bergamo and Monza. We ended up in Bergamo, which was just a short train ride away. It is so fuss-free. Bergamo is such a cute little city or town. We did a little stroll through the old town, which consists of both the upper part and the lower part. A funicular connects both parts. You can also take a bus or stroll. I love such cities! It is even more magical with the lights and everything. I am so happy to visit small towns like these. There is no specific plan or itinerary. We simply wander around and check out the place until we are done with it.
