It has been a while since I went to Malacca. I can’t even remember the last time I did so properly! Probably 20 years give or take? I am pretty sure I was still in Primary School.  That is how long it is. In those days, there weren’t even any budget airlines; we had to take a coach from Singapore, which took a couple of hours. Nowadays, a trip to Malacca takes you less than 60 minutes. Do check out my review of the Scoot flight here. I figure that it will be nice to come here for a hop to max out my Priority Pass visits and also to enjoy some food here. Malacca got back on my radar after watching Emerald Hill recently and Little Nonya! Let’s check out the food spots!

Eating In Malacca

Signature Claypot Cuisine

Bei Zhan Restaurant

The Old Merchant

The Daily Fix

Peranakan Mansion

Jonker St

Lian Pang Coffeeshop

Conclusion

There is more to Malacca than this when it comes to food. You can probably dine here for a month to check off all the spots. Bei Zhan restaurant is of superb quality and value. The Peranakan food is also one of my other highlights over here. There are numerous cafes and nice little heritage spots all around the city. I did love the Merchant Bar, which offers live music, but the service leaves much to be desired! Eating here is pretty affordable, too. Jonker St can be a little over hype. The food there is just alright. Looking forward to my next foodie hop to Malacca.
