I spent my last two nights in Bangkok at another new property. This is one of the recent additions to the Marriott lineup over here. It will be the third Four Points in Bangkok. The Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit 22 is located near the EM malls and just 2 to 3 minutes away from Emsphere Mall. The sheer distance makes it so great. So excited for Marriott Bonvoy members to have another option here when there is already a plethora of them. This newest Four Points Hotel in Bangkok offers easy access to BTS Phrom Phong, BTS Asoke, and MRT Sukhumvit, with shopping, entertainment, and business amenities nearby. The hotel design is inspired by a rustic, casual luxury look. This hotel opened back earlier in the year, and it is barely 6 months old. How awesome is it! Let’s check it out!

Booking Process & Pre Arrival

I will be staying at Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit 22 for two nights. The hotel is located in the Sukhumvit part of the city, which is a very central area for tourists. The BTS Station Phrom Phong is near the hotel. It is very convenient to travel around and escape from the busy traffic area of Sukhumvit. You have the three EM malls a stone’s throw away. I reach out to get some information ahead of the stay. Seeing The World In Steps stayed as a guest of Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit 22. Early check-in was extended to 1pm. I am booked into their Deluxe Premier King Room. Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit 22 features 333 rooms across 8 categories. You can find the breakdown below.

Checking In

I got to the hotel at around 1.30pm or so. I took the BTS to Phrom Phong station, and then from there, you simply take the walkway to Emsphere Mall. Use the side entrance near the supermarket to exit the mall. The hotel is then about 2 minutes down the road. It is almost right opposite the JW. This path will allow most of you to journey in an air-conditioned environment. Upon arrival, the staff come over to help me with my bags. I was then ushered over to the check-in area, which is located to the left. I love the vibes and the ambience of the entire hotel. It is just very classy and welcoming with the use of warm lighting and dark wood tones. Furthermore, this matches so well with the vibrant furniture in blue and yellow.

I was promptly helped by a friendly staff member who reconfirmed everything about my stay. Late check out is also extended till 3pm. Plenty of check-in desks are available, and they also have an elite line available at the hotel. I was also thankful for being a Marriott Gold member. They have these little decorations at the front desks. I love the lobby area. There are plenty of seats and more over at the all-day restaurants and the sports bar area. The sports bar offers live music on the weekends. The hotel is big on communal space, and the areas are well designed with power outlets and even wifi charging pads. This is awesome for Nomads.

Deluxe Premier King Room

I was assigned one of the Deluxe Premier rooms. This is one of the more premium room types over here and ranked just below the suites. I got one of the rooms on the higher floors, room 1623 to be exact. It is just opposite the elevators. Immediately upon entering the room, you can find the wardrobe to the right. It is well equipped and enough for your short stay over here. It comes with plenty of hangers, laundry bags, an ironing kit, bathrobes and bath slippers. Right next to it is the luggage rack, which could fit a medium-sized suitcase well.

Above the racks, they can also be used as an extended open wardrobe area. I’m sure that you can request additional hangers from them. Next to it is the minibar area that is integrated into the setup. It is very spacious and comes with drinking water, packaged tea, coffee and a kettle. It is also a fully stocked one with snacks and drinks. The fridge below also comes with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Prices are very decent, but of course, feel free to stock up from the nearby supermarket or convenience store.

On the other side of the entrance is where you find the bathroom. The bathroom is a nice one and well-designed. The space is sufficient. It comes with a single sink and plenty of storage space. All sorts of toiletries and amenities are provided. Toiletries are in large pump-size bottles. They are from Activ, which is specifically designed for Four Points by Sheraton. It lathers pretty well and smells good.

The bathroom comes with a standing shower as well as a glass wall that opens up to the rest of the room. Privacy screens and blinds are available for those who require additional privacy. The showering space is very spacious and comes with both a handheld shower head and a rainforest shower head. The water pressure and temperature control are decent, and I love that there is even a ledge here for you to sit down. Excellent set-up

Moving back to the main space of the room, which is in a square configuration. I love the finishing with the colour of the tones, very simple, but modern at the same time. Mounted on the wall is a large, quality smart screen television. It comes with a good number of both local and International cable TV channels. The TV is very high quality and supports casting, too. I love that the mount can be pivoted so that you can face it towards the chair or even towards the shower.

Over in the corner, you can find a working desk that comes with a chair. This provides decent back support for a short period of working. All sorts of ports and plugs are located within reach. There’s also a desk lamp. The Wi-Fi works very well in the room. This is a pretty good setup if you need to get some work done. Left on the table, you can find a welcome amenity consisting of some cut fruits as well as some sweets. This is a very nice touch alongside a personalised note.

On the other side, you can also find another chair. It is perfect for a cup of coffee or to soak in some of the sun that the room gets.

There isn’t much of a view from the room itself, given that it just faces the surrounding buildings. I left the curtains and the shades mostly drawn. The centrepiece of the room has to be the plush king-size bed. I love that the mattress is on the firmer side. It is very comfortable and provides excellent back support. The sheets and bathing were also top-notch and high-quality. They were very smooth and comfortable. The same goes for the pillows, which offer excellent neck support. Flanking both sides of the bed, you can find nightstands with one side having an alarm clock with a Wi-Fi charging pad. All sorts of power sockets and controls for the lighting are found within reach. They have also very thoughtfully installed both USB-A and USB-C plugs.

I’m very happy with the room, it’s very comfortable and of a good size, perfect for small families or just couples.

Fitness Centre

The gym is open 24 hours a day. It is located on the 11th floor. It is a cosy spot and comes with all the equipment that you need to get the work done. The place is well maintained, clean and tidy. There are water, towels and even some bananas provided.

Pool

The hotel comes with a rooftop pool on the 12th floor. It is open from 6am to 9pm daily. You can access it with your keycards. The pool is on the smaller side but comes with a great view of the surrounding area. I love the infinity edge. The spot gets plenty of sun, which is pretty good for soaking up some of the sun if you want a tan. There are some day beds by the side of the pool.

The Mesh

This is the hotel’s sports bar and all-day dining restaurant. It is quite a lively place, especially on weekends and in the evenings. They have live music here on the weekends as well. It is a good spot to knock back some drinks and watch sports. You can find the menu over here and here. They also run frequent deals and happy hour. The place comes with a pool table and board games for guests to enjoy, too.

Breakfast at The Mesh

Breakfast is served at The Mesh from 6am to 10.30am. This is extended to 11am on the weekends. I appreciate them extending the timing on the weekend. There are so many properties that end breakfast service way too early, in my opinion. The additional time on weekends would be nice for guests who want to have a later start to the day. Breakfast is served buffet style. It was a pretty crowded affair over here when I was down at 9.30am. I would let the pictures do the rest of the sharing.

Upon request, you can also get a coffee made from the bar with a proper espresso machine rather than those machine ones. The fruits were lovely! I love that they had a juicer for guests to make their fresh juices to start their day. I always appreciate having this at a hotel buffet breakfast! I love that they had these little paper slips that you can use to place orders for eggs and noodles, rather than everyone crowding over there. The daily specialities were a nice touch. I love the special broth and eggs.

The breakfast food quality was pretty good. I enjoyed the breakfast. This is worth stopping by if you have access to it. The selection might not be huge, but the food quality is very high and fresh. Everything tastes very good, including the trimmings. Even the ham was carved.

Conclusion

What a fantastic property and a great addition to the plethora of Marriott lineup over here in Bangkok. Marriott really has an assortment of properties over here, from the more budget ones to luxury properties like the St Regis. Marriott Bonvoy members have their choices here. This property is fantastic, it is sparkling new and in a very lovely location. This hotel hits right on the spot. It is within walking distance to the BTS station and right next to the Emsphere mall. It is my favourite location to stay in Bangkok. The restaurant staff here are excellent. They are always so helpful and polished. I got nothing but good things to share about them. It is always very nice to be staying at a property this new, where everything is still in tiptop condition. I love the room that I was staying in. It is perfect for small families and couples. Breakfast is highly rated and exceeded my expectations.
