I am a huge fan of food tourism or checking out local experiences during my trips. I love visiting the local factories and production places such as breweries, wineries or farms. When we talk about beers Asahi and Sapporo undoubtedly come to your mind when you are in Japan. These are the two most famous brands in the country. Japanese beers are outstanding and a popular drink both in the country and internationally. I had the chance to visit the Sapporo beer museum when in Sapporo. I can’t miss out on the chance to check out Asahi since I am in Osaka. Let’s see how it is.

Reservations

Reservations are recommended since space can be limited. You can do so via calling in or on the website. I didn’t actually managed to get one but the hotel called in for me on the day and got a last-minute reservation. The tour cost 1000 Yen per person. It is worth it as it includes the tasting and souvenirs.

Tasting

Each guest is entitled to 2 tastings. It is included in your tour price. They do it pretty private such that each tour group is dedicated to a 30-minute slot in the tasting room. You will have to finish your drink during this time which can be tight. The tasting room is pretty lovely and there is even an outdoor area.

You can choose from the list of drinks here. Some packaged snacks are included

I went for the Super Dry Extra Cold as well as the Beer Foam Art one.

Conclusion

It was fun! I would certainly recommend it if you have some spare capacity in the city. It can be a refreshing thing to do. This is also one of the most interactive production facility tours or museums that I visited. I love how accessible it is and you can even visit the place easily even if you require any assistance. It might not be free but the price is super worth it. It includes two full pints of tasting and even a souvenir glass. I love the informative tour and various interactive parts to engage guests like the VR and theme rides. The only part I wish they could improve on is a longer tasting time!
