This is one of the new cities I added to my list in 2023! While it is not my first time in Japan, it is my first time heading up north to Hokkaido and Sapporo is the first city I visited here. It is certainly refreshing and much quieter than the core typical cities like Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. Hokkaido is also a region that boosts some of the best food in Japan. You can find some of the freshest seafood over here. Looking forward to sharing some of the places that I visited while in town. Follow me in checking out the city. Here is all I did in Sapporo. My guide to eating, shopping and sightseeing!

Conclusion

This is easily a place where you can spend 3 to 4 days. There are quite several attractions in town and you can also do day trips to nearby areas like Otaru. There are plenty of things to do and eat over here. It is also a good base and the main entry point for travellers into Hokkaido. I have barely covered Hokkaido and would love to be back someday. I certainly do not mind spending a day or 2 when passing by in the future.
