Is this the best First Class Lounge in Singapore? It certainly has the best food selection in Singapore!
I had the opportunity to return to the Qantas First Class Lounge in Singapore earlier for a tasting lunch to preview the latest Food and Cocktail menu launching on 7 June. This is part of their quarterly rotation where the menus are updated regularly to keep things fresh. The menu which starts today will be available until the end of August. I had the opportunity to check out the Qantas First Class Lounge in Singapore a couple of months ago when I got invited to the golden anniversary celebrations of Qantas Lounges. I did an extensive review of the lounge back then and you can find my review here. The Qantas First Lounge constantly goes head to head with Singapore Airlines The Private Room for the accolade of Changi Airport’s Best First Class Lounge. This 1000 Sqm facility joins the business class lounge and provides capacity for Qantas, Emirates and Air France First Class passengers in Singapore. Being a standard Oneworld lounge, this is a treat for top-tier frequent flyers too. The lounge was designed by Australian designer David Caon in collaboration with Kelvin Ho of the architecture and design firm Akin Atelier. Let’s check out the latest menu!

Access Requirements
The Qantas First Class Lounge is open daily from 3pm to 12am. You can access this lounge on Qantas, Emirates or Oneworld flights in First Class. Qantas Platinum One and Platinum members on a Qantas, Jetstar or Oneworld flight. Oneworld Emerald status passengers on an Oneworld flight. Emirates Skywards Platinum holders departing on a Qantas or Emirates flight. First Class passengers, Qantas Platinum One, Platinum, Emirates Skywards Platinum and Oneworld Emerald members may bring one guest. Standard Oneworld transit rules apply as well when arriving in First Class. Air France uses this lounge for their First Class passengers too.

Conclusion
This is hands down the best Oneworld lounge at the airport. The best first-class lounge? Between The Private Room and this? Qantas is a serious contender for the title! I did not get a full holistic experience before a flight but I certainly enjoyed the ambience and quirks here. The food and drinks options are also excellent. I would say that the TPR have more refined ingredients like caviar, lobster and wagyu. They also got a much better Champagne pour. Creativity and execution-wise, Qantas First tops the chart! That Sambal Brown Butter barramundi, Salt and Pepper Squid and Kaya Tart? These are spectacular fine dining executions that I will have no qualms paying for outside in a Michelin-star restaurant. Furthermore, the cocktails are amazing! Heck, SQ can’t even offer all-day barista drinks and desserts? A boring Cheng Teng! The proper comparison would be with the SilverKris First Class Lounge rather than the TPR which makes it even worse. Keep in mind that this is a standard First Class lounge and not only available to First Class passengers on QF metal! I hope to visit this lounge right before a flight and to try Qantas First Class very soon! One of my dream products to review.
