I have already shared this property extensively previously when I stayed here earlier in March. This time around, I am back once again on my short hop over to Shenzhen. The location is fantastic, and it is quite a generous property. I did not manage to spend much time previously, and didn’t even check out breakfast. I was in an amazing suite previously; you can check out my review here. I shall not dwell too much this time around and will not be covering the facilities anymore. This time around, I would just like to share the Executive Premier Room, which is different from what I have stayed in previously. This is by far the best Hilton property to stay at for day trippers from Hong Kong. The location is perfect!
Booking Process & Pre Arrival
I booked the base-level room for one night. I did not get any upgrade prior, and the night before, I could see that I had been upgraded to an executive room. It is a little hard to contact this hotel. They do not have much information published and do not provide any chat services. To recap, Hilton Shenzhen Futian comes with 320 guest rooms and suites spread across 8 categories. You can check out the breakdown below.

Checking In
I got to Futian train station at around 1245 and then hopped on a Didi, which is very efficient and comfortable. I always love this in China. The ride is less than 5 minutes. Upon arrival, the bellboy came over to help me with my bags. It was pretty busy at the time of my arrival, given the weekends. A friendly staff member helped me and provided me with all the information for my stay. I was also thanked for being a diamond member. As usual, they have some extra welcome drinks offered for diamond members. I got some Voss water. My room is also not ready at this time, and I had my bags kept. I headed out for lunch nearby before heading back to get my key cards in the late afternoon. I asked for a further upgrade, and the staff managed to get me an Executive Premier Room.
Executive Premier Room
I was assigned an executive premier room. This is their highest available room type and just below the suite. I got one on the mid levels. I got room 1226, to be exact. It is located towards the end of the corridor. This seems to be quite a trend here for the premium categories. This room measures a lovely 51 Sqm. This is a suite-sized level room. I was pleasantly surprised by this, and it felt more like a junior suite, to be honest. It is quite similar to the one-bedroom suite that I got previously.
Right upon entering, you have a very spacious entrance way with the bathroom to the right and then with the walk-in wardrobe area to the left. It comes with plenty of storage space and is well stocked with everything that you might need. There are plenty of hangers, ironing kits and laundry bags. There is also a spacious luggage storage area that could fit a full-size checked-in bag for your stay.
There is also a vanity table here that I am sure the ladies would find handy.
Coming back to the bathroom, it was huge. It comes with a freestanding bathtub, toilets and standing showers in separate rooms. There is only a single sink here. All sorts of amenities are provided, and there is plenty of counter space. They could have done double sinks if they wanted to. As is usual in Hilton properties, Crabtree and Evelyn amenities are found.
The standing shower is spacious and comes with both a handheld shower head and a rainforest shower head. The water pressure and temperature control are excellent. I had a lovely shower. Moving back to the main space of the room, on the side over here, you can find the minibar area and the working desk. It is designed to be like a little office space. Great set-up. You can find power sockets and plugs located within reach. The Wi-Fi works well, but do note that the usual China restriction applies. It comes with an office chair that offers great back support.
The bedroom area is located to the right, and by the corner, you can find a one-person sitting area. This is perfect for lounging.
The centrepiece over here is definitely the king-size bed. I appreciate that it is on the firmer side. It is very comfortable. The sheets are also high quality and smooth. Pillows also work well, and I managed to get some harder ones, too. On both sides of the bed, you can find nightstands with controls for the lighting and power outlets. In front of the bed, you can find an ottoman which offers additional storage space and another sitting area.
The TV is on the smaller side, but it does come with a good number of channels with both local and international options. It does feel like they have more than enough space here for a bigger one, given the setup here.
The room does come with a rather nice unblocked view of the local neighbourhood area and surroundings.
Breakfast at MIS.U
Breakfast is served at the hotel’s main restaurant. This is located on the second floor. Breakfast is served from 6.30am to 10.30am on weekdays and till 11am on weekends. I managed to check this out on this trip. Breakfast was pretty calm in the morning, busy but not overly crowded, until it became uncomfortable. Breakfast is served buffet style. There are plenty of options to choose from. I will let the pictures do the rest of the speaking. They also have a steam roll or Chee Cheong Fun live station.
It is worth popping by if you have access to it.
Conclusion
I enjoyed my stay. This is already my second stay over here. This will be perfect if you are coming over just for a night or so from Hong Kong. It offers a good balance between price and quality. The hardware is solid. This Executive Premier room feels more like a junior suite. Service is very good, and they also treat me very well. Next up, I am going to try the Conrad!
