Priority Pass has since advanced far from offering just lounges to travellers. There is a whole network of bars, restaurants, hotels, spas and even caviar stores. Anything can be available to members. It depends on the location. I certainly love this concept, especially when I have an unlimited Priority Pass card. I always love seeing what is around the airport that I am flying out of. It can be very valuable if you have multiple outlets that work on a credit system. I also love a spa or massage outlet. I have visited a number of these, both abroad and in Singapore. This time around, I am checking out Biggie Smalls in Melbourne International Airport. This is one of the two Priority Pass options over here in Terminal 3.

Access Requirements

Biggie Smalls is open daily from 5.30am to 8.30pm. On Sat, it closes slightly earlier at 7.30pm. You can access this restaurant via a lounge program membership like Priority Pass. I have an unlimited Priority Pass through my Citi Prestige Credit Card or my UOB Reserve Card and use that to access the lounge. A normal entrance will cost 35 USD. Each access will give you a credit of 36 AUD per person. The prices here already include taxes, so that’s not an issue over here in Sydney.

Arrival & Location

The restaurant is located airside, after security. It is located in the Virgin Gates area. Simply inform the staff that you would like to use your Priority Pass. You can then order after swiping your Priority Pass card and presenting your boarding pass. You can order anything you want off the menu up to the limit of your credit. Cardholders are entitled to up to 36 AUD off the menu. If you bring in a guest, that will be 72 AUD. You can top up anything extra with cash.

Biggie Smalls

This is more of a proper restaurant rather than a lounge. The seats are rather comfy and spacious. As mentioned earlier, you are allowed 36 AUD per person. You can order anything on the menu. The place looks pretty comfortable to enjoy a meal and wait for your flight.

Check out the menu over here. Comes with pretty nice views of the tarmac. You can only take away food and non-alcoholic drinks. We got some salad and their roast chicken. The food was really good.

Conclusion

I certainly appreciate Priority Pass expanding its networks. I love such restaurants, cafes, bars and even spa outlets. This can be handy if you have an unlimited Priority Pass. Most of the time, such food will be much better than what you can get at a contract lounge, too. Check it out when flying out or arriving at Melbourne Terminal 3. This can be especially good, especially seeing how overpriced food and drinks can be at airports outside Singapore.
