There are tons of luxury hotels in Sydney itself, and Four Seasons is one of them. You will not be lacking any options when you are here. This is, after all, Australia’s financial hub and a huge tourist destination. You can find all of the usual names over here. Four Seasons sits on prime estate and just off Circular Quay within minutes of the ferries, The Rocks and the Opera House. Prices are surprisingly rather affordable when you’re speaking about a Four Seasons. It got to be one of the more affordable ones out there. After my excellent stay here on my previous stay, I am keen to be back once again. Furthermore, the current AMEX deal just makes it even better. I also do not need any additional Hilton nights this year. I shall not dwell too much on the property since I have covered it extensively in my old review here. The best way to book a stay at an FS is via a luxury agent on a Four Seasons Preferred Partner rate. Four Seasons does not operate with any loyalty programme, points collection or whatsoever, as they believe that everyday guests should be treated with the utmost loyalty and privileges.
Booking Process & Pre Arrival
I booked a Four Seasons Preferred Partner rate for my stay via an advisor. The nice part about FSPP is that it can be applied to any direct rate available. Simply by doing this, you will get to enjoy extra benefits such as a 100 USD credit, breakfast and priority for early check-in and late check-out. A special benefit of FFSP also allows you to enjoy breakfast via In Room Dining if you prefer. Given how this is their in-house program, upgrades or status are above other programs, such as Virtuoso. My travel agent has provided all my information and also got some information about the hotel. I booked myself into the base-level Superior room, which cost 420 AUD. I was then upgraded to the Deluxe Partial Harbour View Room, which would have cost 520 AUD a night. I will also enjoy another 60 SGD off from AMEX. Four Seasons Sydney features 531 rooms and suites spread across 10 categories. While it might seem like a lot of categories, a lot of them are just by view. You can find the breakdown below.

Checking In
I landed at Sydney airport at 6am. What an ungodly timing we had a long taxi, and by the time we were out and done with everything, it was about 7am. We went to the ground-side PP restaurant to get some takeaway before heading to the city. It was a very easy ride, and Uber works so well in Sydney. I love the system at the airport with the pin. You simply board any rides on a first-come, first-served basis. This removes the need to wait for a specific car and the crowding there. The staff can also slightly adjust the order of requirements if your bags are huge.
I got to the hotel at around 8am and was warmly greeted by the bellboy, who then proceeded to help me with my bags. It is so nice to be back here. The lobby is grand and posh. They have two entrances here, with one on the ground floor and one on the third floor. The third floor one is much more accessible to the The Rocks area. The ground floor is better for vehicle entrance. We were ushered to check in and immediately helped by the friendly staff. We were provided with all the information, and the lovely guy helping me also upgraded me to a Partial Harbour View Room. This is very nice and technically a two-tier upgrade. We were also informed of the room credits, which will be 150 AUD. My room isn’t ready now, which is understandable given how early it is. My room ended up being ready at around 10am. This is as good as it gets. We also get a late check-out till 1pm.
Deluxe Partial Harbour View Room
I was assigned a Deluxe Partial Harbour View Room located on the 27th floor. I got Room 2717 to be exact. This is on the higher side as compared to my previous room, which is on the 10th floor. This is located more towards the right, and the view isn’t as good. The rooms measure a cosy 26 Sqm. It will definitely be a struggle to fit three adults, but two adults and a kid should be just fine. Immediately upon entering, you have a pretty spacious entrance way towards the right with a full-length mirror. It should be great for checking out your fit, and I would love for them to have some additional hooks by the wall, too. This will be perfect for your outerwear. The space here is also very convenient for you to open up your bags with the portable luggage stand.
On the other side of the entrance way, you can find the bathroom. It comes with everything that you might require for the stay. There is a single sink and ample space for your toiletries. A full set of amenities is provided, and they are super high quality.
The bathroom also comes with a separate bathtub as well as a standing shower. The standing shower is behind a fully enclosed glass screen. I love that, as it keeps the water from getting all over the place. The water pressure and temperature control are very good. It comes with a handheld shower. This is often so important and crucial, especially when we’re talking about luxury hotels.
Moving back to the main space of the room, you can find a large wardrobe that will fit everything that you need for your stay. There are plenty of laundry bags, a safe, bathrobes, bath slippers and plenty of hangers. The portable luggage stand is also found here.
The high-quality smart screen television is mounted on the wall. It comes with a number of channels. They are mostly on the news. I do wish that they could have more movie channels.
Next to it is the minibar set up, which is so classy. It is well stocked. There is a proper Nespresso coffee machine as well as a kettle. You can also find all sorts of glassware, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Drinking water is also provided. These are replenished during daily housekeeping and during turndown service.
Towards the end of the room, we can find a window bay sofa that will fit 2 to 3 people comfortably. This is paired with a circular table, which works as both the working desk and dining table. There are power outlets within reach, and the Wi-Fi works very well over here, too. There is another armchair over here, too.
The blinds and the sheers over here are manually controlled, which is actually slightly disappointing, especially for a Four Seasons calibre. The view is pretty lovely and comes with Circular Quay as well as the Opera House. It is slightly angled. The view in my previous room was better.
Later on, the staff also came by with a welcome amenity. It is a generous one consisting of a bottle of sparkling wine, booster shots and some berries. This is accompanied by a personalised note. What a great deal staying on a FFSP rate.
Four Seasons beds are one of the comfiest beds in the world. I love it. It is always top-notch and makes you want to stay in bed all day long. It is slightly on the softer side, but it conforms to your body so well and offers excellent back support. It just gives you the perfect rest and sleep. The sheets and the pillows were high-quality and top-notch. Flanking both sides of the beds, you can find nightstands with controls for the lighting as well as power outlets.
I did wish that they could have some international plugs or adaptors prepared for your usage. If not, they could have some Wifi or USB charging ports. This shouldn’t be too hard to ask for at a Four Seasons. Turndown service is automatically provided in the evening with the room refreshed and tidied.
Mode Restaurant
They offer lunch from Wed to Sat, 12pm to 3pm and dinner daily from 5.30pm to 10pm. In addition, bar snacks are also served between the two services, and they also do a mean Aperitivo from 4pm to 6pm daily. The restaurant is located on the ground floor. I grab dinner here during my stay to use up the credit. You can find the menu for the restaurant here. We also enjoyed the bottle of wine they provided in the room, and no corkage charges are required. I was shown in by a polite host, and the waitress later came by to introduce herself. She is an absolute gem and super polished with good knowledge of the menu.
Here are some of the items we got for dinner. Everything was so good, and we mopped it all off. Prices are pretty fair for Sydney standards and in a luxury hotel. The highlight would be the Spanner Crab with Crispy Brioche.
Room Service Breakfast
Conclusion
I really enjoyed my stay over here! The Four Seasons definitely doesn’t disappoint. The value is unbeatable, especially if you come here and stay on a Four Seasons Preferred Partner rate. I loved the room and had a comfortable stay. Everything is top-notch here. It certainly lives up to its reputation. I can see the attractiveness and why people choose to stay at the Four Seasons. You receive extremely personalised service, and the interactions are very polished. I am not only talking about simply the front office or the manager, but rather everyone that you interact with the moment you step in. I wish that I could afford more Four Seasons in my life. There must be a reason why people come back and stay loyal without a loyalty programme. Looking forward to my next Four Seasons stay.
