Back with another PP lounge review! Do remember to check out my newest overview post on the Priority Pass options in Singapore. I have been wanting to check this lounge for a long time but have always not found the opportunity to do so. I did visit this lounge previously but never since the recent renovation and reopening. This makes it the newest contract lounge over here in Changi. I figure that it is worth the review to check things out. I remember it being one of my favourites over here in T3 and one of the better ones. The lounge is very popular these days and they have a lot of airline contracts which makes it increasingly challenging to get into the lounge these days. It is not a huge space either. I made sure to have enough time to check it out on my recent trip to Hong Kong. Check out the old review of the pre-reno SATS Lounge.

Access Requirements

SATS Premier Lounge T3 is open 24 hours daily. You can access this lounge via lounge program membership like Priority Pass. I have an unlimited Priority Pass through my Citi Prestige Card or my UOB Reserve Card and I use that to access the lounge. A normal entrance will cost 35 USD via PP. Typical guest entitlements follow. You can also pay directly for an entrance to the lounge.

Arrival & Location

The lounge is a level above the main terminal area. Simply head left after clearing immigration. Then head up the escalator. You can find the SATS Premier Lounge right next to the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge. Upon reaching the entrance, I saw a sign saying that the lounge was full and access was restricted. I enquired about the lounge and was admitted entrance. The staff informed me that the lounge is very busy at the moment. It is exactly like how I have heard. Furthermore, this is during the lull period in the afternoon. It should be even more crazy in the evening peak.

SATS Premier Lounge Terminal 3

Immediately upon entering, you can find a cordon off area called the VIP room to the left. I was not offered access to this area. I believe that this is reserved for airline customer who entered to the lounge. They are not open for passengers entering with a lounge program. It is much more quieter over here. They will not want airline passengers who they have contracts with to complain about how chaotic the lounge is and being unable to find seats.

Heading in, you can immediately find the dining area with much proper dining tables for about 16 paxs or so. There are also some high top tables available. These comes with access to power outlets and wifi too. The refreshment area is right next to here. I will come back to this later on.

The place looks more classy and private after the recent renovations. It comes with these privacy screens and cubicles type seatings that makes it more exclusive and out of sight when seated. The sides also comes with solo cubicles with power outlets and a side table. This makes it great for both dining and eating. The lounging area isn’t huge. There is probably seatings for 30 to 40 pax or so. The place is very busy and it is way understaffed. Plenty of tables are left untied and not cleared.

There are also 2 massage chairs left in the lounge at the far end. These are available on a first come first serve basis.

The lounge also comes with its toilets and showers. They have a total of three showers available on a first come first-serve basis. I am not a fan of the design. Towels are available to be taken from the reception error.

They also have a small toilet and it comes with one cubicle and two urinals.

Food and Drinks

This aspect is pretty good in my opinion. It might just be the better ones as far as contract lounge goes. Everything is served buffet style. For hot food, the main item here will be their signature Laksa! It is always a comparison between this and the SQ one. There is then a couple of hot dishes. Everything looks pretty good and fresh. Here are some items of the dishes. There are also some pastries, salad, congee and even ginger dessert soup.

Drinks wise consists of a selection of Heineken Beers, Sparkling Wine, Wines, Coffee, Tea, Juices and various can drinks.

The food and drinks here are definitely more premium than the usual contract lounge that you have been to. After all. They have a partnership program with the airline and I’m sure they can scream and provider to support offering. If not they might get some complaints.

Conclusion

Of course, this is one of the nicest contract lounges over here in Changi right now. It makes sense given that everything is so new and fresh. The main issue is the size and the possibility of even entering the place since most of their capacity is reserved for airline passengers. The food and drinks are solid. It is nice of them to have these privacy screens and cubicles in the new design of the place. Try your luck and you might never know. I will go for this contract lounge over the rest in Terminal 3.
