I made a short hop to Kuala Lumpur before China for a quick 2 nights and nevertheless, I stayed at my favourite Hilton KL. I love the location of the hotel and it is so convenient to stay here when flying to KLIA. This will be great for a weekend getaway. It is my second stay over here and it is undoubtedly the best hotel for Hilton members. It is a very generous property that treats elite members very well. The Executive Lounge Manager Halilah is excellent. She always made this place feel like home. I previously stayed here for 4 nights in the Executive Lake View. You can check out my previous review of the property which includes more information about the facilities and breakfast here. I will only share on the suite this time around. I am glad to be checking out a new category this time around and I got an upgrade to a gorgeous Grand Executive Suite.

Checking In
I only got to the hotel at around 2pm with my flight delay. Sometimes, the taxi on the ground feels so much longer than the actual flight itself. Thankfully, we can use the e-gates and went through in minutes. I also encountered some difficulties with my SIM cards. I took the KL express trains from KLIA to KL Sentral which is so fuss-free. This to me is worth the premium. The hotel is directly connected to the station. Right after exiting, you can find the walkway connected right ahead.
Upon reaching the main lobby, the staff came over to help me with my bags. I was immediately helped by the staff. There is no wait at this hour. Check-in was fast and prompt. I was provided with all the info. I was also provided with a lounge letter and reconfirmed to be in a Grand Executive Suite. This is one of the nicest upgrades Hilton Diamond members can expect here. Getting a 7-tier upgrade is excellent. This suite would have cost around 1100 RM a night.
Grand Executive Suite
This is a mid-tier category suite over here. It is one of the upgrades available to Diamond members. They are known for being a very generous hotel. I was assigned a suite on the 23rd floor. It is a short walk away from the elevators. The Grand Executive Suite measures a spacious 86 Sqm. It is so well appropriate and comfortable for both couples and small families.
This is a full suite and comes with a powder room to the left. This will come in handy if you have some guests over or gatherings. I always appreciated having an additional toilet in the suite which will be useful even with small family stays.
I love the living room which is a cosy set up and perfect for a movie night. Straight ahead, you have the minibar chest which is both a kettle and a proper Nespresso coffee machine. There are also some instant coffee sachets and packaged tea. Drinking waters are also provided. These are replenished during daily housekeeping and turndown service. In the drawer below, you can find additional glassware and a fully stocked minibar.
The suite comes with a full-size dining table that is good for 4 pax. This will be useful if you need to dine in the suite or order some takeaway food to enjoy in the suite. Left on the table are some canned coffee and chocolate as a welcome amenity.
The comfortable sofa set left in the living room surrounds the coffee table. This can seat 3 to 4 people easily. It is perfect for lounging.
The living room comes with a great view of the surrounding area and the view is particularly good, especially given how high up we are.
The wall features a television mounted and a Bluetooth speaker. I feel that the TV is a little small for a suite of this size and the quality can be improved. It comes with a nice number of both international and local cable TV channels.
A walkway links the living room to the bedroom area. It is separated by a sliding door. I love the set up as you can have two separate spaces if needed. In the linkage area, you can find the worlding desk and the walk-in wardrobe. The working desk is of a good size. All sorts of ports and power outlets are within reach. The premium wifi works very well.
I love the walk-in wardrobe set-up. It always adds up some style when you have one. It comes with a spacious area for your suitcase. there are plenty of hangers, laundry bags, bathrobes and bath slippers.
Another room can be found with additional storage space and an ironing kit.
The bedroom area is cosy and comes with a great view of the city as well. Here you can find another TV mounted on the wall. It is a larger one than in the living room. The blinds and sheers here are manually controlled. They could have installed the TV on a movable rack that allows it to be viewed from the bathroom area too.
I love how the room has an open bathroom concept which makes the place even more spacious and comfortable. It comes with double sinks. All sorts of amenities are provided and they are generous with them. As usual, Crabtree and Evelyn’s amenities are provided in large pump-size bottles.
The bathroom comes with a separate bathtub. The shower is behind a fully enclosed glass screen which comes with both a handheld shower head as well as a rainforest shower head. Water pressure and temperature control are excellent.
The plush king-size bed is in the middle of the room. It is comfortable and comes with smooth sheets. I love that it is on the firmer side. The pillows also offer great neck support and you can also customise your sleep experience with the pillow menu. I slept well. Flanking both sides of the bed, you can find nightstands with power outlets and controls for the lighting conveniently within reach.
There is an armchair by the side too. Turn-down service is automatically offered and done in the evening. I always appreciate coming back to a properly tidied with water conveniently placed by the side of your bed.
Conclusion
This has always been my choice of abode in KL. I had a comfortable stay here. The service is excellent and the quality is great. Pricing is fair for the amount of quality you are getting. I love the location. It is central enough to explore the city and you have easy access to the Express train that scoots you to the airport with zero fuss. Properties like these that treat elite members well are worth mentioning!
