It is always nice to be visiting a new place. That is always the general aim of my travel goals and my lifelong goals. I am a huge fan of Switzerland and would love to visit more cities around the country but have been limited to only a few places. It is always a concern regarding the cost given how expensive Switzerland is. So far, I have only been to Lucerne, Bern, Geneva, Schaffhausen, Zurich, Kandersteg, Thun, Basel, Zug. Switzerland is really out of this world and by far the most amazing place on earth. It looks like somewhere in heaven if that is even how it looks like. I got the opportunity to check out Basel while on the way to Zurich since the route from Frankfurt passes by there. I am certainly keen to do so. It is one of the cities that I would love to see once given the history of Roger Federer and the Bank for International Settlements. This would be my 179th city in the world!

Basel

Conclusion

It is a small city! I did enjoy my day trip here before I took the train to Zurich for the night. While I love the big cities, it is sometimes very nice to just explore little towns and cities where you can just stroll around aimlessly on foot and head to the city centre easily from the train station. I will recommend anyone who is passing by here to stop by for a short while. I do envy meeting Roger Federer somehow on the street but this will do.
