oh, deer! That is probably the primary reason that you want to come to Nara and visit this city. The Nara deer that freely roam around the city centre is the key attraction in town. That turned out to be a rather interesting development. Things are certainly not as simple as it seems. Stay tuned for that. Nara is a little city located to the east of Osaka. That makes it a very easy and popular day trip. There are multiple train connections and that makes it very easy and affordable for you to get there. It is a rather small place and you can easily cover it in a day or less.

Nara Deer! Those deer were not gentle at all! They were scary! Get some biscuits for them to chase after you bite you all over!

Conclusion

I had a lovely time in Nara. This is one of the various popular day trips to do from Osaka. Sadly, on the day of my visit, the famous mochi store isn’t open. That perhaps gives me another reason to be back. The deer are the highlight of the place! It is rather interesting to see them freely roaming around the city. They are prized by the locals. You might expect deers to be gentle but the ones here are none of those. They will ram you, poke you and bite you! Do watch out for them. This is especially true if you have those biscuits.
