After spending a couple of days in Dubai, it is time to head to Abu Dhabi. This is the other major tourist destination in the UAE, and most people do them together. It might be well known, but Abu Dhabi is actually the capital of the UAE and far richer than Dubai. It is more organised over here too. It does have some sights that are worth a visit. We simply drove here, and it was so easy. I will recommend you to do so as it is literally the cheapest way to do so. Having a car will also make it the best way to travel around Abu Dhabi. The public transportation is not as well-built as that in Dubai. It will be costly if you plan to take taxis and Uber. I am super keen to check off this city. It is always nice to add a new place to my list. We will be here for 2 nights, and due to some unforeseen circumstances, we have much less time than I planned. Let’s check out Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi
Etihad Towers Observatory
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
Qasr Al Watan
Conclusion
As you can see, we didn’t really do much. We only had one full day due to some issues we had upon travelling from Dubai. The two main spots that we visited on the one full day we had were the Grand Mosque and the Presidential Palace. Both were amazing. Time is really limited, and with a stop for lunch, that is almost it. I regretted only planning 2 nights here. We should have done 3. I really wanted to visit the Mandarin Oriental and perhaps the Yas Island area. As mentioned, it was really a gem to have a car to use to get around. It is so easy to drive here, and we never had to pay for any parking anywhere. It is much more peaceful over here compared to Dubai. I won’t mind coming back again someday. Perhaps another 2 nights or so will be nice.
