I had about 5 days or so in Chengdu. This is the main destination for this trip. I was coming from Chongqing and took the HSR over. It is a straightforward journey. I have shared extensively my experience on the trains. Do check out my review. This is one of the most awaited cities in China that I want to visit. There are numerous sights and Chengdu is also home to the pandas. That is the highlight and key attraction in this part of China. Chengdu is the capital and the main entryway to the Sichuan Region. Spice, Pandas and Scenery. There is plenty to do in this city. Let me share my experience in Chengdu and the places I visited. I have also shared my review and experience on Spa Reflexology in Chongqing & Chengdu. Do check that out too.
Transportation in Chengdu
Public transportation in Chengdu is extensive and affordable. They have a metro system that works well for travellers. Sadly, I do not have any relevant information to share on this as I mainly rely on Didi, the China and Singapore equivalent of Uber and Grab. It is super affordable and reliable. I love it as it is always so convenient. The coverage is extensive and it is straightforward to get a ride. Do set up the app prior and add all the payment methods. You can also link it to Alipay. It cost around 20 SGD to get to the airport and we never spent more than 5 to 6 SGD for rides around the city centre. Some rides are as affordable as 2 bucks. After some time, we even got Didi Premier as the cars are cleaner. It is not too much of a premium above the usual.
Don’t miss out on the chance to try out Didi Lux. Chengdu is one of the selected cities where this service is available. It offers luxury posh rides. You can customize the type of car, driver and other amenities you need. VOSS water for your ride is available too.

Conclusion
I had a fun time in Chengdu, there are more than enough attractions and places to dine at for at least a week. The pandas also make it much more attractive. You will never miss out on the pandas over here. Everything you see in the city is linked to them, from BBT to pillows and even afternoon tea. As compared to Chongqing, Chengdu is slightly more internationalised for travellers. I believe that I have covered the main areas of the city but I would still love to be back sometime in the future for another visit. Perhaps in winter. I have also shared my review and experience on Spa Reflexology in Chongqing & Chengdu. Do check that out too. My choice of accommodation to recommend here would be Niccolo Chengdu.
