Over the next 4 nights, I will be based in Queenstown. From here I will embark on road trips and explore the surrounding area. Earlier, I have already shared my amazing experience travelling to Milford Sound and Mt Cook. Do check them out! Queenstown is a great base to check out in the southern part of the island. It is the major city in the area and a charismatic town by itself too. It is absolutely one of my favourite places in the world. This will be the last place that I am staying at in the South Island. After this, I will be flying to Auckland.

South Island Road Trip – Arrowtown
Charming little cute town. This is a historical gold mining town in the Otago region.

Conclusion
The scenery here is truly majestic! Some of my favourites are the drive to Glenorchy as well as Arrowtown. Queenstown is a charming cute little town that is still very well-equipped for tourists! It feels very relaxing over here. If you are ever in this part of the world, you have to take a pause and stay here for a bit. I had some of the most amazing drives in my life over here! Fergburger really lives up to its reputation. It is as good as what people say. This is worth the wait! Don’t miss it. I also enjoyed dining at Nest! The view of Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu is jaw-dropping. My itinerary was a little rushed. There are certainly more places to visit around the area. A week in Queenstown and the surrounding area will not be too much.
