Trip de Americae: Singapore Airlines SQ007 777-300ER LAX – ICN Business Class

Finally, the last journey on this whirlwind trip, heading back to my home, Singapore, who else could it be, of course, Singapore Airlines. I will be flying back home on their Business or J Class on board their 777. SQ007 will take me back home to Singapore via Incheon, South Korea. I am so looking forward to be back in their business class after a trying out the more older product 2 years back. Many people have said that the business class on board Singapore Airlines is so much better than what other airlines offered on First. With plenty of time left after leaving the lounge, I roam about the gorgeous Tom Bradley International Terminal for a while before heading to the gate. As I told you earlier, the check in process was crap and it turns out to be just a little beginning to what comes next!

Trip de Americae: Korean Airlines Lounge LAX Tom Bradley International Terminal

I had plenty of time left prior to my boarding time after leaving the Star Alliance Lounge which I have shared on in the previous post. There are actually plenty of lounges in the Tom Bradley International Terminal, there is a Etihad, Qantas, Oneworld, Emirates and also a Korean Air Lounge. Seeing that the KAL is under the Priority Pass Program, I decided to check it out. In case if you are not flying any premium cabins out of TBIT or have loyalty membership, this is the lounge that you will be able to use, if you have a Priority Pass membership. I have an unlimited access from my Standard Chartered Card and took full use of it. The Korean Air Lounge is located on the 5th floor, one level below the Star Alliance Lounge.

Although the bulk of the lounges are operated by the members airlines in the Star Alliance network, there are still a couple of them that are open themselves by Star Alliance itself. There are currently 7 Star Alliance lounge in the world in LA, Paris, Rome, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Nagoya and Buenos Aires. And the 8th is coming in 2019 in Amsterdam! Coming from my last city in this around the world affair that I had back last year, I was flying back in Singapore Airlines Business class back to Singapore from LA. I arrived in the airport right at noon, roughly about 3-4 hours early, giving me plenty of time to check out the lounge and one of the more gorgeous airport in the States, Tom Bradley International Terminal!

Furthermore, I find that it is nice to share how much I spend in case you are trying to plan a similar trip. As with the one I did previously for my Europe part, I will split up the post to a few main sections. Transportation, Accommodations, Attractions and for Shopping. I will not include the amount on shopping that I spend as it differs from people to people. United States is definitely not a cheap place to travel to, given their standard of living as well as their taxes, which I will share more later on in the post!

Trip de Americae: Bubba Gump Shrimp Co

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co is a family chain restaurant that specializes in seafood style dishes. They are a common sight around the states! You can surely find them throughout your travels. For those people who like to have seafood, this is the place to be! They are a normal diner, nothing very special but still a pretty decent place for some grub. I had the opportunity to try them when I was in Santa Monica, the restaurant is located right on the pier. I’m sure it is easy enough for anyone to spot their quirky exterior! Prices for a main usually cost around 20 bucks and as per the norm, their portions here are very generous!
