2015 Europe Trip: Checking in at Changi Airport & SilverKris Lounge

To speak frankly, the flights to and fro Istanbul was the major highlight of this trip, after all, what else beats the ability to fly onboard Business Class on Singapore airlines for 12 hours nonstop. Before I start on the actual experience on ground and onboard the aircraft I would share a bit on the booking of the flight. To maximise the chances of getting all 3 person on Saver class redemption, I had split up the booking into 6, for our whole family and also all one way redemption booking. This actual means that as long as there is a empty seat on one sector, the waitlist will be release to you. Due to the fact that I had a pretty low frequent flyer status my waitlist didn’t really clear out. Although I already had 2 confirmed both ways as I make the booking pretty early, about one month in advance. Thankfully, due to my waitlist flight, I had no ticketing deadline for my redemption, this could be done by calling KrisFlyer Contact centre. Practically, I hold my hopes to the last min, calling almost every day and also a few times on my departure day to sent chaser. With common sense, you could know that there is obviously empty seats which I actually could see online, thru my confirmed booking seats selection. There are also holding out to the last min to see if anyone will be paying for them L. Around the evening, hopes seems slim and I decide to issue my economy class tickets, as it’s getting awfully dangerous to go to the airport without a confirm ticket. 2015 Europe Trip: Introduction, 5 Countries and 15,000 Miles in 21 Days

Finally the time have come, I hope you guys have been waiting for this. Come on all Europe lovers, I am going to get started on my amazing, indescribable trip which I have just taken to Europe. To speak frankly, this trip was not as relaxing as it seems, simply, the planning part of this trip perhaps took me more than a year to do so. Some of the braincells killing parts were getting the seats on Business Class and also plans for getting to cities we were travelling to in Europe, which means complex internal flights connection and the train tickets. Although I have to say some of the booking were done by my Citibank Prestige Card Concierge, which were a great help, both in bookings and also dining recommendation and reservations. For me personally this was definitely useful given that I do not speak or read any European Languages which made it hard in looking at menus and calling to reserve tables. For you guys, this means looking forward to some amazing restaurants reviews, a preview of some of the amazing food I had in Europe.

2015 Ho Chi Minh Grad Trip: Day 4 and Beyond

For the last 2 days it was actually nothing much for me to review about. Frankly speaking, Saigon city centre is not a large place to tour around and the sights aren’t plenty either, to say, it is almost similar to Bangkok actually. Some of the stuff we did in the last few days were just probably eating and sleeping. Some of the significant stuff that I did was actually going to the Ben Thanh Market at night, we also walked pass some of the backpackers area and the atmosphere was really good.
